Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja to represent Nigeria at the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. The annual event brings together global leaders, top business executives, and development partners to address pressing economic challenges and explore solutions for global economic improvement.
A significant part of Vice President Shettima’s agenda is a workshop titled “Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets.” Organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in collaboration with the WEF, the session aims to attract capital to Africa’s frontier markets, fostering inclusive growth and resilience across the continent. The workshop will take place at the Congress Centre in Jakobshorn.
Another key highlight of the forum will be the announcement of the Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Roadmap for Africa. This initiative, developed in partnership with the AfDB, seeks to mobilize collaborations between public and private sector leaders to drive investment into Africa’s emerging markets.
Vice President Shettima is expected to use these engagements to advocate for stronger global collaboration to support Africa’s economic development and long-term prosperity.
