The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South Zone has expressed optimism about its chances in the upcoming Edo State governorship elections.

During a stakeholders meeting aimed at addressing party issues in the region, APC leaders reaffirmed their confidence in securing victory. Cross River State governor, Bassey Otu, emphasized the importance of unity and peace in the region as he assumed the role of party leader.

He pledged to lead the party to success in the forthcoming Edo State governorship polls, highlighting the need to expand APC representation in the South-South.

Zonal vice chairman, Chief Victor Gaidom, echoed the commitment to strengthen the party and ensure victory in Edo State.

He issued a warning to rival political parties, signaling APC’s determination to reclaim governance in the state. Gaidom emphasized the imperative of unity and peace under his zonal leadership, emphasizing his dedication to the task.
