Jandor Hails APC Surge as E-Registration Gains Ground

Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is firmly positioned to win the 2027 general elections, attributing the party’s advantage to its expansive structure and ongoing electronic membership registration exercise.

Adediran, the Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, spoke after participating in the APC’s e-registration exercise at Ward G, Irewe, in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, alongside party leaders and stakeholders.

He dismissed suggestions that opposition parties, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), pose a serious challenge to the ruling party, arguing that the current ADC coalition lacks the depth and organisational strength that led to the formation of the APC in 2014.

“The ADC coalition cannot be likened to the 2014 coalition that birthed APC. What we have today is a coalition of individuals, not parties. There is no future in PDP, and ADC is not a threat. Such a group cannot endanger APC’s dominance,” Adediran said.

According to him, the APC’s entrenched political structures across almost 34 states make it extremely difficult for any alliance to unseat the party at the national level. He added that no political gang-up could derail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

On the electronic registration exercise, Adediran described it as a strategic move to modernise the party and deepen internal democracy.

“Electronic registration ensures transparency, accuracy and inclusiveness, while eliminating duplications and manipulation that weaken party cohesion,” he said, noting that a credible membership register would strengthen planning, mobilisation and grassroots engagement.

He urged both old and new members to fully participate in the exercise, stressing that “a party that knows its members can truly represent the people.”

Adediran also expressed confidence that the APC would retain Lagos State and secure Tinubu’s second term in office, insisting that his optimism was based on performance and structure rather than sentiment.

“This confidence is based on performance, structure and political depth, not sentiment,” he said.

He commended the Tinubu administration for undertaking what he described as tough but necessary fiscal and monetary reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, restoring investor confidence and laying the foundation for sustainable growth. He also praised the President’s interventions in national security and infrastructure development across transport, energy and housing sectors.

“These actions demonstrate leadership that prioritises the nation’s future over short-term populism,” Adediran added.

Speaking on Lagos State, he said it continues to benefit from years of progressive governance, institutional continuity and a clear development philosophy.

“Lagos remains Nigeria’s model of subnational innovation—economically resilient, administratively sophisticated and forward-looking,” he said, adding that the APC’s track record gives it a strong edge in retaining the state.

Adediran further emphasised that democracy thrives on strong institutions rather than personalities, warning that weak party systems often lead to instability and governance failures.

He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the APC and serving Lagos residents, pledging to work for “a progressive, inclusive and economically vibrant Lagos governed with integrity.”

At the event, APC chieftain Alhaji Hakeem Amode said Adediran’s registration would attract more members to the party, while Lagos4Lagos leader Mr Shakirudeen Onilude described him as a strong mobiliser who would add significant value to the APC.
