Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, has denied reports suggesting he is being positioned to contest the Borno South senatorial seat currently occupied by Senator Ali Ndume.
Taking to his official X handle, Bwala dismissed the claims and criticized Ndume’s legislative record, asserting he has no political interest in the Senate.
“Senator Ali Ndume, your frustration is aging you by the day. I am not planning to run for Senate, and there is no plan to replace you with my humble self in Southern Borno,” Bwala wrote.
Bwala went further, accusing Ndume of offering poor representation to the people of Southern Borno despite spending over two decades in the National Assembly.
“No wonder, Southern Borno excluded you from the list of honorees in the recent Excellence Award given to distinguished sons and daughters of Southern Borno,” he said.
He also alleged that Ndume’s political allies were intimidating critics and accused the senator of political hypocrisy:
“You meet and hobnob with the coalition for a wild goose chase at night and pretend to be an APC member during the day.”
In response to what he described as ongoing personal attacks, Bwala reminded Ndume of their political history, including moments when he supported the senator.
“You would not tell the world how you drove to my office to thank me immensely for supporting you when Sen. Saraki suspended you… or how you waited two hours in my law office when you wanted to be Senate President.”
Bwala ended his remarks with a pointed warning:
“Respect is reciprocal. Learn to respect yourself and others.”
The statement adds another layer to the simmering tension between both political figures, further exposing rifts within the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid rising political speculations in Borno State.
