Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro has been elected National President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), succeeding Festus Osifo.
Olabiyi-Agoro emerged as president during the association’s first Quadrennial Delegates Conference, held in Abuja on Saturday.
The new PENGASSAN president is a staff member of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and currently serves as the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Oyo State.
A petroleum engineer, labour leader and industrial relations strategist, Olabiyi-Agoro brings experience in the oil and gas industry as well as organised labour to his new position.
In his remarks after his election, he pledged to make workers’ welfare a major priority of his administration, following the example set by his predecessor, Festus Osifo.
