President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to receive the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag and certificate as the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The presentation is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja following the nationwide collation of results from the party’s presidential primary held on Saturday.

The development was confirmed in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, the APC Presidential Primary Elections Committee will formally present the certificate and party flag to Tinubu after the completion of the collation process.

“The Presidential Primary Elections Committee will present the certificate and flag at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja after nationwide collation of the primary election results,” Onanuga stated.

The event is expected to attract top figures within the ruling party, including APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), members of the National Assembly and other party stalwarts.

The ceremony will formally confirm Tinubu as the APC standard-bearer for the 2027 presidential election following the conclusion of the party’s primary process.
