Shettima Urges Nigerians to Pray for Tinubu, Nation’s Progress

Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for peace, stability, and progress in the country.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of Tafsir for the month of Ramadan at the State House Mosque in Abuja, Shettima emphasized that prayer is a powerful tool in shaping destinies and guiding leadership.

“It is our greatest weapon against despair and the most powerful armour for those entrusted with leadership. I urge us all to continue praying for our beloved nation and the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he stated.

He prayed for God to grant the President wisdom, strength, and courage in steering the nation toward unity and prosperity while urging Nigerians to support the government in nation-building.

Shettima also acknowledged the critical role of religious leaders in shaping moral values, stressing the need for integrity, justice, and commitment to the welfare of others.

Reflecting on the significance of Ramadan, he encouraged Muslims to uphold its values of sacrifice, discipline, and empathy beyond the holy month.

“The true test of faith is not how we worship during Ramadan, but how we embody its values after it,” he said, urging Nigerians to extend kindness, generosity, and unity in their daily lives.
