Amaechi Challenges Oshiomhole to Prove His Academic Qualifications

Former Rivers State Governor and African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, has challenged Senator Adams Oshiomhole to make his academic credentials public following the latter’s description of him as “shallow” and “unreliable”.

Amaechi issued the challenge during an interview on Rapid TV while responding to Oshiomhole’s recent criticism of his political position and credibility.

Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North Senatorial District, had described Amaechi as shallow and unreliable during an interview on TVC, accusing him of contradicting himself by criticising the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu after previously supporting the party.

The former Edo State governor also accused Amaechi of previously alleging that ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar stole the party’s presidential ticket and taking him to court, only to later become his running mate.

In his response, Amaechi said he was disappointed by Oshiomhole’s comments, noting that both men served as governors at the same time and were political equals.

“He said I’m shallow, but I hold degrees in Law and Literature, Master’s degrees in both fields, and a certificate from the University of London. I also have a master’s degree from King’s College London, and I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Global Political Economy. Tell him to show his certificate if he has any,” Amaechi said.

He further alleged that Oshiomhole remained angry with him for leading the group that removed him as APC national chairman, adding that he had no regrets about the action.
