Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has promised to take immediate action as he begins a fresh four-year term today.
Speaking at the Beach Sunsplash event in Araromi Seaside, Ilaje Local Council, Aiyedatiwa reassured residents that his administration will focus on all sectors, with a strong emphasis on boosting the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
“We already have what we intend to do for the next four years. We are moving from the Redeemed Agenda of the last administration to Our Ease Agenda, which was the mantra of our campaign,” he stated.
The governor outlined plans to expand revenue streams through tourism while addressing financial leakages using technology-driven reforms. He noted that Ondo’s current monthly revenue, ranging from N1.7 billion to N2 billion, could potentially rise to N4 billion or more with ongoing consultations aimed at optimizing collections.
Aiyedatiwa also hinted at key appointments on his first day in office but remained tight-lipped about his cabinet’s composition.
“Sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism will receive critical attention,” he added.
Following his swearing-in, the governor is expected to proceed directly to his office to commence work.
