Four Shot After Crowds Gather Following World Cup Match in Massachusetts

At least four people were injured in a shooting late Friday night after hundreds of people gathered following a World Cup match in Brockton, Massachusetts, according to local police.

The Brockton Police Department said officers received multiple reports of gunfire shortly before midnight.

Responding officers arrived at the intersection of Main Street and Park Street, where they found at least four victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

All four were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities have not released details about their conditions.

Police said no arrests had been made as of Saturday, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The shooting occurred after crowds gathered following the World Cup match between Norway national football team and France national football team, which was played Friday at Gillette Stadium.

Investigators have not yet said whether the shooting was directly connected to post-match celebrations or identified a possible motive.
