Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has pledged three million votes for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, saying the state is ready to reciprocate the President’s support during its political crisis.
Fubara made the pledge on Saturday in Port Harcourt while welcoming Tinubu to the state for the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-South presidential campaign rally.
He praised the President’s intervention during the political crisis in Rivers, describing his role as instrumental in restoring peace and sustaining his administration.
The governor said Tinubu’s advice and conciliatory efforts had helped his government remain focused on delivering its promises to residents.
“Rivers State has not forgotten your support in our most challenging moments. As you stood with us, we are ready to stand firmly with you as you seek a renewed mandate in 2027,” Fubara said.
He also commended Tinubu for appointing people from the South-South region to positions of authority in his administration.
Fubara further disclosed that the APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were working together under what he described as a rainbow coalition in Rivers State to secure Tinubu’s victory.
He expressed appreciation to the President for his commitment to restoring peace, stability and development in the state.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment, alongside the people of Rivers, to building a peaceful, stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
