The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has dismissed the newly formed opposition coalition led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, insisting that no political alliance can prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from securing re-election in 2027.
Ganduje’s reaction follows Atiku’s Thursday press conference in Abuja, where he, alongside key opposition figures including former governors Nasir El-Rufai and Emeka Ihedioha, criticized Tinubu’s administration and declared their intention to challenge him in the next election.
In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, Chief Oliver Okpala, Ganduje expressed confidence in Tinubu’s continued leadership, citing his performance since taking office.
“No amount of political arrangement or gang-up can stop the good people of Nigeria from re-electing Tinubu as President in 2027,” Ganduje said.
He described the opposition coalition as a gathering of politicians with conflicting ideologies and personal interests, asserting that their alliance lacks the cohesion needed to pose a credible challenge to the APC.
