The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, on Thursday, dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect. 

   This include Commissioners and Special Advisers. This dissolution was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, which was made available to journalists in Bauchi. The SSG said others affected are Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Personal Assistants and other political appointees heading various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.

He however, said the SSG, Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary retained their positions till the inauguration period. According to Barr. Kashim, during the meeting, the governor thanked the outgoing cabinet members for their positive contributions towards the successes achieved by his administration in the first tenure.
