NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terrorist Hideouts in Northeastern Enclave

Airstrikes by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have destroyed terrorist hideouts in Ali Sheriffti, a known enclave in the southern Tumbuns of northeastern Nigeria.

The operation, confirmed by NAF spokesperson Ehimen Ejodame, was carried out on April 24 following credible intelligence indicating insurgent activity in the area.

Ejodame explained that air assets were deployed for targeted surveillance, during which several insurgents were spotted moving through concealed routes. The individuals were tracked to structures hidden beneath dense vegetation, suggesting deliberate attempts to evade detection.

“Following positive identification, the NAF executed a precise strike, engaging the structures with onboard munitions,” he said.

According to him, the strikes successfully destroyed the identified targets, significantly degrading the operational capacity of the террорист group and limiting their movement within the enclave.

He noted that the operation underscores the Air Force’s continued reliance on intelligence-driven, precision-based missions to dismantle terrorist strongholds.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed the military’s resolve to sustain pressure on insurgent groups.

“The Nigerian Air Force will continue to pursue and dismantle terrorist networks with unwavering precision and relentless force, ensuring no enclave remains beyond our reach,” he stated.

Ejodame added that operations will intensify in the coming weeks as part of broader efforts to strengthen national security and safeguard citizens.
