Galatasaray Win Record 26th Turkish League Title

Galatasaray have been crowned Turkish Super Lig champions for a fourth consecutive season after defeating Antalyaspor 4-2 in Istanbul.

The victory secured Galatasaray’s 26th league title, extending their record as the most successful club in Turkish football history.

With one match remaining, Galatasaray finished four points clear of fierce rivals Fenerbahçe, whom they had earlier beaten 3-0 in a crucial derby clash last month.

The latest triumph also equals the club’s own record of four straight league titles achieved between 1996 and 2000, further underlining their dominance in Turkish football.

Despite mounting another strong title challenge, Fenerbahçe were forced to settle for second place for the fifth consecutive season, extending their title drought to 12 years — the longest in the club’s history.

Following their derby defeat to Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe dismissed both their head coach and sporting director as frustration continued to grow among supporters.

Galatasaray’s success this season was driven by a star-studded squad led by Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, whose performances played a major role in the club’s domestic and European campaigns.

The Istanbul giants have also secured direct qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League after reaching the knockout stage of this year’s competition, where they notably eliminated Juventus.
