FAAN Begins Sales of E-Tags at Airports

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced on Friday that it has commenced the sale of e-tags at all federal airports across the country, in compliance with a presidential directive.
In a statement, FAAN detailed the new policy requiring all citizens to purchase e-tags for access to the 24 federal airports. Sales began on Friday, 17th May 2024.
“Following the presidential directive that all citizens are mandated to pay for e-tags at all the 24 federal airports across the country, we wish to inform the general public that the e-tags are available for sale from Friday, 17th May 2024 at the following locations,” it said.
E-Tag Sales Locations
“Lagos: Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Terminal 1, 5th Floor, Office of HOD Commercial. Contacts: 08033713796, 08023546030.”
“Abuja: Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, HOD Commercial Office (General Aviation Terminal). Contacts: 08034633527, 08137561615.”
FAAN provided options for motorists without e-tags to make cash payments at the airports.
This initiative follows an announcement by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, confirming that toll payments at airports will apply to everyone, including President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
“Council has approved that henceforth nobody will be exempted from paying for access into our airports,” said Minister Keyamo. “The President and the Vice President have also said they should not be excluded from this new policy.”
