Donald J. Trump to Be Sworn In as 47th President of the United States

The inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump is set to take place on Monday, January 20. Trump will take the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States, with JD Vance assuming the role of vice president.

This marks Trump’s second inauguration as president, following his first swearing-in as the 45th president on January 20, 2017.

In the lead-up to Inauguration Day, Trump hosted a reception and fireworks display on Saturday evening at his golf club in Virginia, celebrating his return to office.

On Sunday, he is scheduled to lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery, honoring the nation’s fallen heroes. Later in the day, Trump will hold a “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” in Washington, D.C., rallying supporters ahead of Monday’s official ceremony.

Due to freezing temperatures in the capital, the swearing-in ceremony has been moved indoors to the Capitol Rotunda. Despite the change in venue, the event is expected to draw significant attention as Trump begins his second term as president.
