Justice Mohammed Zubairu of the Abuja High Court has granted an interim injunction to prevent the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and other parties from selling a disputed property located at Plot No. 4411, Cadastral Zone A09, Guzape District, Abuja.
The ruling followed an ex-parte motion filed by the applicant’s counsel, Reuben Atabo, SAN, on Monday. The court order, aimed at ensuring justice and fair hearing, restrains Wike, along with other defendants including Mr. Eric Anyamene Nnamdi, Hajiya Bilikisu Mallam, and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) from interfering with or selling the property.
Justice Zubairu ordered that the injunction remain in place until the hearing of the motion on notice, scheduled for December 30.
Nextdora Nigeria Limited, the claimant, is seeking to prevent the defendants from developing or assigning the property to third parties, asserting ownership of the property under a Right of Occupancy with File No. MISC 128232. The company claims it is the rightful title holder and aims to halt any further sale or development of the disputed land.
