Atiku Abubakar on Thursday held talks with representatives of Riley Moore on issues relating to election integrity and security concerns in Nigeria.
The meeting was disclosed in a statement issued by Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C., a Washington D.C.-based lobbying firm representing the former vice president.
According to the statement, discussions centered on safeguarding Nigerians’ democratic rights and addressing the country’s security situation ahead of future elections.
“We are pleased to announce that earlier today, representatives of Congressman @RepRileyMoore and former Nigerian Vice President @atiku met to discuss the importance of protecting every Nigerian’s right to a free and fair election in order to enable Nigerians to elect leaders willing and able to resolve the security issues facing all Nigerians.
“The meeting was very productive and focused on the urgent need for election integrity, peace, and long-term stability in Nigeria,” the statement said.
The lobbying firm noted that it was engaged to help strengthen the reputation of Atiku Abubakar in the United States.
The development comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the former vice president recently submitting his presidential nomination forms under the African Democratic Congress.
Atiku also called on Nigerians to support efforts aimed at rebuilding the country and restoring the “good old days.”
