Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has obtained a nomination form to contest the Adamawa North Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The form was presented to him on Saturday in Mubi, the socio-economic hub of the northern zone, by supporters who purchased it on his behalf.

Fintiri, an indigene of Madagali Local Government Area, is seeking to represent a constituency covering Madagali, Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, and Michika LGAs at the National Assembly after completing his tenure as governor in 2027.

Addressing stakeholders at the event, the governor expressed his readiness to contest for the senatorial ticket under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also addressed security concerns in the region, particularly the effects of insurgency, assuring that rebuilding and recovery efforts would continue alongside strengthened collaboration to achieve lasting peace.

In his remarks, Wakili Boya, who represents Song/Fufore Constituency, described Fintiri as an experienced leader capable of delivering effective representation at the national level.
