The quarter-final matchups for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League have been confirmed, with several blockbuster ties lined up after the round of 16.
Defending champions Real Madrid will battle Bayern Munich, while Paris Saint-Germain face Liverpool in one of the standout clashes. In other fixtures, Barcelona meet Atlético Madrid, and Arsenal take on Sporting CP.
The ties are scheduled for early April, with the final set to take place in Budapest.
Liverpool secured their spot in emphatic fashion, overturning a first-leg deficit to thrash Galatasaray 4-0 at Anfield. Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohamed Salah sealed a dominant comeback.
It was a difficult night for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who picked up a forearm injury after a collision with Ibrahima Konaté and was forced off at half-time.
After levelling the tie in the first half, Liverpool took full control after the break. Salah assisted Ekitike before Gravenberch added another, and the Egyptian forward later netted his 50th goal in the competition to cap a commanding performance.
Elsewhere, PSG stormed into the quarter-finals with an 8-2 aggregate win over Chelsea, while Harry Kane inspired Bayern Munich to a crushing victory over Atalanta.
Barcelona advanced comfortably past Newcastle United, and Atlético Madrid edged Tottenham Hotspur to complete the final eight lineup.
With only Liverpool and Arsenal left representing England, the race for Europe’s biggest club prize is now set for an intense final stretch.
