Tinubu Calls for Peace and Unity in Christmas Message

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to embrace peace, unity and religious tolerance as Christians across the country celebrate Christmas, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to religious freedom and national stability.

In his 2025 Christmas goodwill message, the President said the season goes beyond festivities, reminding Nigerians of the birth of Jesus Christ and His enduring message of grace, hope, peace and goodwill to humanity.

Tinubu extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians in Nigeria and around the world, expressing gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve as President and offering prayers for peace, particularly among people of different religious beliefs.

He reiterated his administration’s resolve to protect religious freedom and ensure the safety of citizens of all faiths, stressing that every Nigerian has the right to live, worship and pursue their aspirations in safety and dignity.

According to the President, no individual should face persecution for practising their faith, regardless of ethnicity or belief.

Tinubu also commended Christians for their contributions to national development, noting that the teachings of Christ have inspired compassion, care for the vulnerable, and sustained efforts to promote peace, harmony and tolerance across communities.

He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful despite prevailing challenges, assuring them that God remains present and faithful and that the nation will overcome its difficulties through unity and shared purpose.
