The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced April 12, 2025, as the new date for its postponed South South Zonal Congress.
In a statement issued by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the NWC also approved the rescheduling of the South West and North Central Zonal Congresses from March 22 to April 12, 2025.
The congresses will take place simultaneously in:
- Port Harcourt, Rivers State (South South Zone)
- Ibadan, Oyo State (South West Zone)
- Jos, Plateau State (North Central Zone)
The elections will determine the executive officers and national ex-officio members for each zonal chapter, following the party’s constitution and guidelines.
The NWC urged aspirants, party leaders, stakeholders, members, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and the media to take note of the new date and prepare accordingly.
