Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has expressed confidence in the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) success in the upcoming governorship election, set for Saturday, September 21, 2024. His optimism follows assurances from the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.
After a PDP caucus meeting in Benin City, Obaseki praised the deployment of additional police personnel to maintain peace and commended INEC’s commitment to a level playing field. He encouraged party leaders to continue mobilizing support for their candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
