Gunmen set fire to unit offices of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Nnewi, Anambra, on Sunday.
In the industrial town, the gunmen were claimed to have operated for hours.
According to a source who requested anonymity, told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the gunmen who invaded the town operated in four Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs).
It was also discovered that two people were shot and killed while attempting to create a video clip of the event.
“A man, who attempted to do a video recording of the unknown gunmen was said to be shot dead at Eme Court junction area of Nnewi, while another man was said to have been killed at Traffic junction area of the town,” the source said.
According to him, the command received a distress call about a fire incident in Nnewi around 2 p.m. on Oct. 3.
“Police operatives are currently on ground and the area has since been cordoned off.
“Further details shall be communicated please,” he said.
