Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has rejected rumors suggesting his planned defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reiterating his steadfast loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a post shared on his verified Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, Lawal identified himself as a “bona fide member” of the PDP and urged the public to disregard what he referred to as “fake news” propagated by detractors. He further stressed that his focus remains on fulfilling the mandate given to him by the people of Zamfara State.

“I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on,” Lawal stated in the post.
