President Donald Trump’s childhood home in Queens, New York, has sold for $1.93 million following an extensive renovation that transformed the once-neglected property into a modern residence.
The Tudor-style house in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood was built in 1940 by Trump’s father, real estate developer Fred Trump. The president lived there until he was about four years old, before the family moved to another home nearby.
The $1.93 million sale price was disclosed Friday after an unidentified buyer entered into a contract for the property in July.
Developer Tommy Lin purchased the home in 2025 for $835,000 after it had remained vacant and fallen into significant disrepair. Lin reportedly invested another $500,000 in an eight-month renovation.
The overhaul introduced a chef’s kitchen, herringbone wood flooring and spa-style bathrooms while retaining the home’s distinctive Tudor-style exterior.
Before the renovation, the property had suffered water damage caused by a burst pipe, developed mold and had reportedly become home to a colony of feral cats.
The house has changed ownership several times over the years. It sold for $2.14 million in 2017, shortly after Trump began his first term as president. It was later briefly offered as an Airbnb rental, featuring Trump-themed memorabilia, including a life-size cardboard cutout and copies of his book “The Art of the Deal.”
The property returned to the market in 2019 with an asking price of $2.9 million but failed to sell at the time.
Trump later built his public profile through the real estate business, including the development of Trump Tower in Manhattan, where he lived for decades before entering politics.
The latest sale gives the historic Queens property another chapter, decades after it served as the future president’s first home.
