President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF).
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, marking Enitan’s formal assumption of leadership of the federal civil service.
President Tinubu administered the oath of office on Enitan barely a week after announcing his appointment as the successor to Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
The Presidency announced Enitan’s appointment on August 19, 2026, with his assumption of office scheduled for August 27.
Ahead of the transition, Enitan and his predecessor had visited President Tinubu at the State House on Friday, August 21, as part of preparations for the handover of leadership of the federal civil service.
Enitan now takes charge of the federal civil service following the conclusion of Walson-Jack’s tenure.
