Tinubu Made His First Outing Since His Return From The U.K, Talks About God Power

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu sponsored a welcome-back event and prayer in Lagos on Sunday, where Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), met with his political associates and proteges.
The event was Mr. Tinubu’s first public outing since his return from the United Kingdom on Friday night, after a three-month vacation.
The APC National Leader, who is reportedly eyeing a presidential run in 2023, stated that God expects anybody who is given the power to use it for the greater good.
He said the prayer event was emotional for him since he had been inundated with good wishes from Nigerians while he was overseas.
According to him, “all prayers showered on him are taken as valuable compliments”.
”I am a little emotional now but I am happy. God is the giver of life and the only one who can take life.
”And He (God) says if I grant you the power and the privilege in this life; I am the only one who can take it from you if you don’t use it in the way and manner that promotes humanity.
”It is the same God that has spared us till today and has given us the privilege, that I give glory to because I am standing before you hale, hearty and well.
”Today is a day of joy for me, having fixed today for this great event. We are here giving praises to God. May God bless all of you in attendance. I am grateful. I cannot say more than that today. Thank you all,” he said.
Mr. Sanwo-Olu said Mr. Tinubu’s return was “more than welcome news” for his supporters across the country, adding that the APC leader had been re-energized “for his next political move.”
“For sending Asiwaju back home, totally revived,” he remarked, there are numerous reasons to be grateful to God.
“We give glory to God who brought you (Tinubu) back with sound health and stronger vigor.
”On behalf of all political office holders, party leaders, and faithful, we welcome our leader back and we give praises to God on his behalf that the intention of evil-minded people who spread malicious rumor against our leader did not materialize.
”This event shows Asiwaju is healthy and possesses more energy to embark on his next move in politics,” the governor said.
Mr. Tinubu’s homecoming, according to Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, strengthened his associates’ faith in God, as the APC National Leader’s full recovery from knee surgery was a sign of God’s power and favor.
All elected officials and political appointees in Lagos were in attendance, including Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
In attendance were members of the State Executive Council, the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), and council chairmen.
Mr. Gbajabiamila, speaking on behalf of National Assembly members, referred to Mr. Tinubu as an “eagle” who was focused and always one step ahead of the game.
The Speaker expressed his surprise that a “minor knee surgery” had become a national issue, but the outpouring of support for Mr. Tinubu across ethnic lines shows that the APC National Leader is a mystery.
The occasion was termed as “symbolic” by Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Conference 57, who said that members of the Conference were ready to support Mr. Tinubu in his next political move.
Muslim and Christian clerics offered prayers for Mr. Tinubu.
