Some of the biggest names in sports gathered in New York City on Wednesday for the 2026 ESPY Awards, celebrating the year’s most outstanding athletic performances and achievements.
The annual awards ceremony brought together elite athletes, coaches and celebrities, with fans lining the red carpet to catch a glimpse of some of the sport’s biggest stars.
Among this year’s leading nominees were Jalen Brunson, Myles Garrett, Alysa Liu, Matthew Stafford, Rory McIlroy, Lionel Messi, Shohei Ohtani, Mikaela Shiffrin, Victor Wembanyama and A’ja Wilson.
This year’s ceremony was held at the David H. Koch Theater and was hosted by comedian Marcello Hernández.

The event featured performances by legendary hip-hop group De La Soul, rapper Ghostface Killah, hip-hop icon Slick Rick and the fan-favorite baseball entertainment team Savannah Bananas.
Presenting awards throughout the evening were some of the world’s most accomplished athletes, including Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles, Olympic track and field legend Allyson Felix and freestyle skiing star Eileen Gu.
The ESPYs recognize excellence across the sporting world, honoring remarkable performances, unforgettable moments and the athletes who have defined the past year.
