President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, has donated a state-of-the-art e-library and co-working space to the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF), bolstering the group’s capacity to foster youth participation in legislative processes.
The facility, named The Congrès, is located on Mississippi Street, Abuja, and was inaugurated on Friday by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas. The Speaker lauded the initiative as an innovative space for young lawmakers to collaborate on national development and advance youth-focused legislation.
The Young Parliamentarians Forum, led by Hon. Lamiju Akala, comprises National Assembly members under the age of 40. Recognized by the United Nations, the group aims to engage Nigerian youth in legislative processes and nurture future leaders.
Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila also commended the project, emphasizing its role in enhancing youth representation and engagement in governance. “This is a commendable project by Seyi Tinubu. It will create an enabling environment for young legislators to deliberate on issues of national importance,” Gbajabiamila stated.
The facility features an e-library, a physical library, and a co-working space, all designed to support young lawmakers’ legislative aspirations. The initiative was spearheaded by The 7-Fifteen Foundation, represented at the commissioning by Tope Adekoya, CEO of 7-Fifteen Capital Ltd, and Adesuwa Belo-Osagie, Co-CEO.
Seyi Tinubu’s donation fulfills a commitment to empower the Young Parliamentarians Forum, further strengthening their role in shaping Nigeria’s legislative future and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
