Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Lagos, has expressed confidence that the party will secure victory in the 2027 gubernatorial election in the state. Speaking at an extended Stakeholders’ meeting of the Labour Party in Umuahia, Abia State, Rhodes-Vivour emphasized the party’s strengthened position to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos.
He noted that following the Labour Party’s strong showing in Lagos during the 2023 presidential poll, the party has been consolidating its efforts and building a solid structure for future success. “We are set for new victories in 2027. Since after the 2023 elections, work has not stopped; we are getting stronger every day,” he said. Rhodes-Vivour also praised the efforts of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, in repositioning the party for future wins.
