The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finalized plans to hire a foreign technical adviser for the national football team, the Super Eagles. This decision follows a series of disappointing performances under former Enyimba coach Finidi George.
After a board meeting on Thursday, the NFF’s Executive Committee resolved to bring in an expatriate to lead the Super Eagles in preparation for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers and the remaining FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
“The Committee resolved to beef up the NFF Technical Department with more qualitative hands. Equally, the Technical and Development Sub-Committee will be re-jigged with immediate effect,” the communique released after the meeting stated.
The new technical adviser is expected to bring fresh expertise and strategies to improve the team’s performance on the international stage.
