Renowned Nigerian pastor and gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey has been invited to minister at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
The event, scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C., will take place ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance. It is a non-governmental, non-political gathering hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner.
Bassey’s invitation highlights his growing international recognition as a gospel minister. In 2024, he was honored by the Mayor of Albany, New York, who declared October 6 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” in appreciation of his contributions to gospel music and his positive impact on communities worldwide.
This marks another milestone in Bassey’s illustrious career as a global ambassador for gospel music and faith.
