Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has firmly advised against using the state’s security issues for political gain.

Speaking during a thank-you visit to Goronyo local government area on Saturday, Aliyu emphasized that security concerns should be handled without political interference.

“Security is a critical issue that impacts us all, and any attempts to exploit it for political purposes will not be tolerated,” Aliyu declared. He urged both individuals and groups to avoid making provocative statements or taking actions that could jeopardize the safety of Sokoto’s residents.

The Governor highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining security, stressing that all stakeholders need to collaborate. “We will not permit anyone to politicize security concerns and will take necessary actions to prevent such activities from undermining the peace and stability of our state,” he asserted.

Aliyu also called on the public to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the relevant authorities and to work together to ensure peace and harmony in Sokoto State.
