EFCC Chairman Olukoyede Vows to Surpass 2024 Corruption Fight Records in 2025

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has pledged that the agency will surpass its achievements in the fight against corruption in 2024, with even greater efforts planned for 2025.

In a New Year message to Nigerians on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, Olukoyede assured that EFCC officers would remain relentless in breaking the strongholds of corruption across the country in the coming year.

“Our work is more than a vocation; it is a patriotic calling,” Olukoyede said. “We know this and will always offer our best to move the nation forward. 2025 will be another year of bringing down the towers of corruption. Our focus is set, and our commitment is total.”

The EFCC Chairman urged Nigerians from all walks of life to strengthen their resolve against economic and financial crimes, stressing that the country’s progress is contingent on rejecting corruption.

Olukoyede emphasized that the development of the nation and improvement in the quality of life for citizens rely heavily on the collective rejection of corrupt practices. He called for renewed commitment to anti-corruption initiatives, highlighting that transparency, accountability, and integrity are essential for driving the country’s economic growth and improving living standards.

“We can achieve the progress and development we want for our nation by supporting anti-corruption initiatives,” Olukoyede said. “The new year offers us fresh opportunities to recommit ourselves to the ideals of transparency, accountability, and probity.”
