Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at boosting administrative efficiency and accelerating developmental goals.
The changes were announced during the State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting held on Monday at the Government House, Abakaliki.
Addressing the council, Nwifuru urged members to reflect on their performance and recommit to effective service delivery.
Key redeployments include:
- Jude Chikadibia Okpor, formerly Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, now heads the Ministry of Rural Development.
- Aikeuwa Omebeh, who previously oversaw Rural Development, has been moved to the Ministry of Information and State Orientation.
- Paul Awo Nwobasi, ex-Commissioner for Education (Primary and Secondary), is now in charge of the Ministry of Border Peace and Conflict Resolution.
- Donatus Ilang, former Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, takes over the Ministry of Education (Primary and Secondary).
Governor Nwifuru charged the affected commissioners to bring renewed vigor to their new portfolios and deliver measurable results for the benefit of the state’s residents.
