All listed recipients have been invited to the event, which will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, according to a letter signed by the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume.
Dr. Richard Nyong, the Chief Executive Officer of Lekki Gardens Estate, has been selected as a nominee for the honorary title of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
The letter, which is to serve as a valid means of identification, will be required of all award recipients. Recipients are also expected to forward a one-page citation and current passport photograph to the office of the minister before the date of this year’s investiture.
Dr. Richard’s visionary leadership of Lekki Gardens Estates has contributed a huge quota in making housing more affordable to Nigerians. With over 15,000 units of homes delivered and 50,000 more in the pipeline, over 2tn naira in assets managed and over 250,000 jobs created directly and indirectly for the artisans and professionals that work for the contractors, service providers and vendors engaged in various completed and ongoing projects, he has created a legacy that is worthy of national recognition.
Other prominent recipients of this award include the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III; the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi; Senator Michael Bamidele; and the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, among others.
