Serena Williams is returning to U.S. Open doubles competition, teaming up once again with her older sister, Venus Williams, four years after stepping away from professional tennis.

The Williams sisters received a wild-card entry Wednesday and are scheduled to compete together in the women’s doubles tournament next week, the U.S. Tennis Association announced.

It will mark the 10th time Serena and Venus have partnered at the U.S. Open. The sisters previously won the doubles championship in New York in 1999 and 2009 and have captured 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together during their celebrated careers.

Serena, 44, has already made her presence felt at this year’s tournament. On Tuesday, she partnered with Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz in mixed doubles.

Williams and Alcaraz, both returning from injury, produced an entertaining opening-round victory before their run ended in the quarterfinals against Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli.

The upcoming women’s doubles competition will now put the spotlight back on one of tennis’ most successful partnerships as Serena and Venus reunite on the Grand Slam stage.
