Israeli settlers have surrounded the homes of three Palestinian families in the occupied West Bank village of Qusra, cutting off water and electricity as residents accuse them of attempting to force them from their land.
Security camera footage from Qusra, south of Nablus, showed settlers gathered around one of the homes on Wednesday.
Residents said the siege began on Sunday when settlers blocked access to their properties. They also claimed Israeli soldiers had not dispersed the settlers despite intervening in the area earlier in the day.
Aisha Abu Rida, one of the residents affected, said her family remained trapped inside their home without essential utilities.
“We are surrounded by settlers, but we are steadfast,” Abu Rida told Al Jazeera, insisting that her family would not abandon the property despite the water and electricity being cut off.
She accused the settlers of carrying out repeated attacks aimed at displacing Palestinian residents and taking control of their land.
Meanwhile, Türkiye’s Anadolu news agency reported that Qusra’s mayor had been informed by the Israeli military that its operation in the area would continue until Sunday morning.
The incident comes amid continuing tensions in the occupied West Bank, where confrontations involving Israeli settlers, Palestinians and Israeli security forces have intensified.
