Kwara Govt Dissolves Political Appointments, Sacks Aides

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has relieved several political appointees of their duties, including his Principal Private Secretary, Abdullateef Oloyin, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Bukola Babalola.

Also affected by the shake-up is the Special Adviser on Media, Bashir Adigun, alongside all special advisers, advisers, senior special assistants and special assistants serving in the administration.

The restructuring is aimed at creating room for a new set of All Progressives Congress (APC) appointees and strengthening the administration’s development agenda.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Moshood Agboola, AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their contributions to the state.

“His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state. He wishes them the best in their future endeavours,” the statement said.

The governor also directed all affected appointees to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
