Arsenal Win Historic Title as West Ham Get Relegated

The 2025/26 Premier League season came to a dramatic close on Sunday as Arsenal were crowned champions, ending a 22-year wait for the English top-flight title after finishing four points clear at the summit.

The Gunners sealed the title in style with victory on the final day before lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time since the famous “Invincibles” era.

At the bottom of the table, West Ham United were relegated despite winning their final match of the season, as Tottenham Hotspur escaped the drop with a crucial victory to preserve their Premier League status.

Bruno Fernandes made Premier League history after recording his 21st assist of the campaign, setting a new all-time record for the most assists in a single Premier League season. The Manchester United captain broke the previous record jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne during United’s final-day victory over Brighton.

In the race for Europe, Liverpool secured qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, while Chelsea missed out on European football after suffering defeat on the final day.

Erling Haaland finished as the Premier League’s top scorer once again, claiming the Golden Boot with 27 goals for Manchester City.

The season also marked the end of an era at Manchester City, as manager Pep Guardiola bid farewell after 10 years at the club, leaving with 20 trophies during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.

There were emotional scenes at Anfield as a long-serving Liverpool stars, Mo Salah and Andre Robertson played his final match for the club, bringing an end to a memorable spell with the Reds.
