Osun 2026: Oyebamiji Promises Lasting Development, Progressive Revival

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has pledged to deliver lasting democratic dividends that future generations would be proud of if elected in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

Oyebamiji made the promise during a meeting with leaders and members of the Association of Mobile Telecommunication Engineers of Nigeria (AMTEN), Osun State chapter, held on Sunday in Osogbo.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of Civic Engagement of the APC Campaign Council, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, who represented the APC candidate at the event, Oyebamiji expressed confidence about emerging victorious at the polls.

“History will be made on August 15 as I will be elected governor of the state. I am confident and hopeful in God and in you that it will be my day. History will also be made as Osun returns to the progressive path, and I count on you to make that happen,” Oyebamiji said.

The APC candidate said his administration would focus on a broad development agenda driven by economic security, healthcare, education, and social welfare.

He disclosed plans to strengthen social safety programmes aimed at reducing poverty and improving the welfare of residents across the state.

Oyebamiji also promised to stimulate economic growth by supporting both small and large-scale businesses through:

·       Increased funding opportunities

·       Capacity building initiatives

·       Infrastructure development

He further urged residents to disregard what he described as a “campaign of calumny” against him, insisting that his political philosophy is rooted in service, development, and improving the wellbeing of the people.

According to him, his ambition is centred on repositioning Osun State and returning it to what he described as the “progressive path.”
