EFCC Assures Nigerians of Victory Over Corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has assured Nigerians that the country will overcome corruption, urging citizens not to define the nation by its challenges but by its determination to rise above them.

Speaking in Abuja during the Easter celebrations, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede delivered a message of resilience, stressing that corruption is a challenge Nigeria can defeat through collective effort.

“We are not defined by corruption; we cannot be defeated by it,” Olukoyede said, describing Easter as a powerful symbol of victory over trials and adversity.

He noted that the message of Easter—triumph over suffering and hardship—offers important lessons for Nigeria’s ongoing anti-corruption fight, which he described as a “trial and trauma” the nation will ultimately overcome.

Olukoyede called on Nigerians to remain united and committed to supporting anti-graft efforts, emphasizing that the fight against corruption requires persistence, shared responsibility, and sustained public trust.

He added that although the struggle may be long, it is not insurmountable, expressing confidence that Nigeria’s future will be shaped not by corruption, but by the resolve to defeat it.
