Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced a major cabinet reshuffle, appointing a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and reassigning several senior officials.
In a statement issued in Ibadan by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor relieved Prof. Olanike Adeyemo of her duties as SSG with immediate effect and appointed Prof. Musibau Babatunde as her replacement.
As part of the changes, Barrister Temilolu Ashamu was redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
Governor Makinde also nominated his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate. Aderinto is expected to be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Additionally, Abiodun Adedoja was appointed Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
According to the statement, the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery across the state.
