Again, Supreme Court Adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Till September 14

The bail hearing for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been adjourned till September 14 by Nigeria’s Supreme Court.
The apex court heard the appeal filed by Kanu on May 11, 2023, after it had adjourned the case on April 27, 2023.
Recall that on November 3, 2022, the Biafra activist appealed his ongoing arrest at the Department of State Services (DSS) to the Supreme Court.
Kanu’s appeal was against the decision of the Court of Appeal, which on October 28, 2022, stayed the execution of its earlier order acquitting him of all charges and directing his release from the custody of the secret police.
The Briafra agitator went to the Supreme Court after the Federal High Court and the Appeal Court denied his request for bail.
But in a decision on Thursday, the apex court adjourned the IPOB leader’s bail hearing until September 14, 2023.
