As Nigeria and the world over battle to tackle the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic with more people set to lose their jobs due to various lockdown order by some countries to further curb the spread of the virus, entrepreneurial skill acquisition has been described as a major tool for reducing unemployment.
Nigeria like many other African Nations with some developed European countries not left out have been facing co-existent problem of mass unemployment, low productivity and high inflation which has had adverse effect on the worlds economy .
To address this germaine issue and boost the current state of the nations economy entrepreneurial skill acquisition is no doubt the way out in reducing unemployment in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
A student of philosophy at the Ambrose Ali university Nigeria, Judith Okeke who is also an entrepreneur said for her, looking for a white collar job is a waste of time .
Government at all levels and policy makers were however enjoined to include vocational skills into the school curriculum with a view of catching them young.
The contribution of entrepreneurship training towards reducing unemployment in Nigeria can not be overemphasized hence the need for it to be widely recognized and generally accepted with a view of improving the standard of living through innovation that Will lead to introduction of increase in goods and services and development of local technology base among others.
