Buhari Returns To Abuja On Sunday After A Medical Check-up In London

President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Abuja on Sunday after a two-week medical check-up in London, United Kingdom.

The Presidential jet which conveyed Buhari landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 8:30 p.m.

Bashir Ahmad, the Special Assistant to the President on Digital Media, announced Buhari’s return to the country in a tweet on Sunday via his Twitter handle.

“Welcome back, Baba!” Ahmad tweeted, along with pictures of Buhari alighting from an aircraft.

Recall that Presidential media aide, Femi Adesina had on Monday announced the planned medical trip in a statement made available to newsmen.

Adesina said the medical trip is a routine one and Buhari, who left for London on October 31, 2022, is expected back in Nigeria in the second week of November.

He had written: “President Muhammadu Buhari leaves for London, United Kingdom, October 31, 2022, for routine medical check-up.

“He returns to the country in the second week of November 2022.”

Buhari left for London after attending a security council meeting and a Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, Imo State.
