Supporters Of Peter Obi Take Down P’Harcourt, Demand Reform

In support of Peter Obi’s bid for the presidency, thousands of his supporters took down Port Harcourt on Friday. Peter Obi is the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.
Around 10,000 of Obi’s followers gathered at the Eleme junction axis of Aba Road and sang songs in his praise.

The supporters marched along a section of Ikwerre Road while donning fez caps and white shirts, under the auspices of the Two Million-man March for Obi, before coming to a halt at Isaac Adaka Boro Park.

Due to the march, many drivers took detours and other routes due to the gridlocked.

The supporters mainly youths sang, ‘Obi, Obi, Obi’ and danced all through.

They held placards that highlighted the leadership challenges in the country and suggested that Obi would resolve them.

They also called on Nigerians to prepare to make a change.

The crowd of the ‘Obi-dients’, who defied heavy rain, were addressed by Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, at the Isaac Boro Park.

Dokubo repeated the slogan ‘We no dey give shishi, we no dey collect shishi’ to the excitement of the crowd.
