Two Suspected Ritualist Burnt In Front Of Police Station In Ogun State

Two alleged ritualists caught with a human head were set ablaze on Saturday by enraged youths in Oja-Odan, Yewa North Local Government Area, Ogun State.

The police operatives seized two suspects, Idowu Afolabi and Johnson Adebiyi, at the Oja Odan police station.

Youths in the neighborhood who were upset about the situation allegedly stormed into the police station and dragged the two accused ritualists out.

Adeyemi, one of the youths, claimed that the accused were brought to the front of the police station and set ablaze by the youths.

The source said, “The youths caught the two men with a fresh human head. The police came to take the suspects away. But about an hour later, the youths, said the killers must be dealt with immediately. That was why they mobilized themselves in their hundreds to the police station in Oja Odan.

“The youths forced themselves into the police cell, dragged the suspects to an open space in front of the police station, and set them on fire.”

In a similar incident, a couple is being questioned regarding the possession of fresh human parts at the Homicide Section of the Ogun State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to reports the couple, Kehinde Oladimeji, 43, and Adejumoke Raji, 35, were detained at No 72, MKO Abiola Way, Leme Area of Abeokuta, the state capital, during the week.
